Dr. Harold Haslam, who inspired Singing City’s founding in 1948, said choral singing is “a living model of democracy—a place where every voice matters.” For over 75 years, that vision has guided Singing City, and we remain today a vocal movement that works to inspire connection, courage, and community through the shared act of music-making. Every concert, rehearsal, and outreach performance embodies our belief that harmony—both musical and human—is something we create together.
