Auditions

Singing City Choir holds auditions every August and by appointment throughout the season. The choir is made up of singers of all ages and from all walks of life. We love singing together and bringing our music out into the community.

Auditions for our 2025-26 season will be held in late August by invite only. If you are interested in auditioning, please complete our audition request form (link below) and we will reach out should you be selected to audition.

The Choir meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:20-9:50 p.m. at Friends Center, 1501 Cherry Street, Philadelphia, PA.  There are occasional Saturday "all-day" rehearsals, usually before a major performance. Regular attendance and promptness are vital. Participation in all concerts and community outreach activities is expected.

Auditions will be by appointment with our director. Complete the Audition Request Form and we will be in touch to schedule your audition.

Singing City has a long history of touring both at home and abroad. The photo above was taken in South Africa in 2016. The choir traveled to Mexico in 2019 and will travel to Minneapolis in May 2025 to commemorate the 5-year anniversary of the death of George Floyd with a special collaborative performance.  The video at right is from a concert in the Balkans in 2012.
