"Singing City is people. People who have a strong belief in the power of music as a carrier of meaning and direction in our society."
Elaine Brown, Founder

Founded in 1948, Singing City Choir, 100 voices under the guidance and direction of Artistic & Music Director Jeffrey Brillhart, presents a concert season of three major concerts each year and also brings choral music to under-served populations, performing not only in concert halls, but also in homeless shelters and nursing homes in and around Philadelphia.

Under the banner of Performance, Education and Outreach, Singing City strives to be an artistic, social and spiritual force, bringing people together through choral music.

"As far back as I can remember, music has been a part of my life. Growing up in Central Virginia, I was always in church singing in choirs - from the children’s choir, young adult, to the adult choir–I passed through them all!" More.
