Singing City is deeply saddened by the passing of Jared Hess, who lost his 10-month battle with leukemia on Friday, January 25 at the age of 29. Jared was a devoted husband and father and is survived by his wife of 4½ years, Anne, 2-year old son Caleb, and 4-month old son Noah. He would have turned 30 on January 27th. We will miss our brother and friend.

Jared was a member of our Bass II section, and Anne is a member of our Soprano I section.

During his ordeal, Jared maintained a journal that he hoped would be helpful to others who are fighting a similar battle. We believe that his strong faith and devotion would be a source of strength to anyone who is battling an illness.
